Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Battery Park: It is advisable to use public transportation because parking is very limited in Lower Manhattan. Liberty State Park: It is a good starting point if you have a car, since there are many paid parking lots. Take the turnpike to New Jersey and exit 14-B and follow the signs to Liberty State Park. Tip: Consider the possibility of traveling with a boat-taxi ride from New York in Liberty State Park, New Jersey, where the queues for the tickets and security checks are generally shorter. The boat-taxi only costs 7 USD for one way, for a pleasant journey of 10 minutes.
